TREATMENT TECHNIQUES

Integrative Manual Therapy - The focus of IMT treatment is on removing mechanical strains from the tissue of the body with the Therapist using pressure in specific ways to help the tissue and joint surfaces shift, decompress, and unwind allowing for more space and better movement.  The assessment and treatment is integrative by addressing all body systems; recognizing that all systems in the body are inter-connected and influence each other.  If there is a problem with one system, such as the muscular system, and only that system is addressed in therapy, then healing time may be limited due to problems arising from the circulatory system, skeletal system, or nervous system.  IMT addresses the body as a whole and works well with all involved systems to facilitate healing.  IMT techniques are gentle and non-invasive while the results can be profound.

Myofascial Release: A manual therapy technique designed to release scar tissue and strains in fascial and other connective tissue with an indirect approach.

Strain Counterstrain: Designed to reduce spasm in voluntary muscle tissue

Advanced Strain Counterstrain: Designed to reduce spasm in involuntary muscle tissue (arteries, veins, lymph, organ, etc.)

Muscle Energy Technique: Manual technique to realign joints through spine, pelvis, and extremities

Neural Tissue Tension Technique: Designed to reduce and mobilize scar tissue inside and outside nerves for improved function and decreased pain

Lymphatic Techniques: Designed to restore normal lymphatic structure and function

Visceral Therapy: Designed to restore normal organ structure and function

Cranial Therapy: Designed to restore structure and function through craniofacial region.  Improves the healing progress for concussions, TBI, whiplash, migraine headaches, and spinal trauma.
